2. Acceptance of terms

By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms from time to time (see section 10).

3. Use of the site

You may:

• Browse, read and personally enjoy our content.
• Link to our pages with proper attribution.
• Share short excerpts (a sentence or two) for non-commercial purposes with credit.

You must not:

• Scrape, harvest or systematically download content from the site.
• Republish our photos, videos or writing without our written permission.
• Use the site to send spam, abuse, threats, or any unlawful content.
• Attempt to break, probe or interfere with the site's security or infrastructure.

If you submit content to us (for example, through a contact form or the "Ask Steve" feature), you grant Yowzer Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use that content to operate and improve the site and our products. You confirm you have the right to submit it. We will not publish private contact emails without your consent.

5. "Ask Steve" and AI features

Ask Steve (available at /ask/) generates responses using content from Steve's public YouTube videos. Important things to know:

• Responses are generated by AI. They are not Steve speaking to you personally.
• Answers may be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Don't rely on them for safety-critical decisions (vehicle checks, route planning, medical, financial, legal).
• Treat anything it tells you as a starting point for your own research, not as advice.

6. Sale of goods

Our shop sells physical merchandise. Orders are processed by Stripe via Stripe Checkout. Goods are dispatched from the UK by Yowzer Limited, typically via Royal Mail.

Your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law are not affected by these terms. For refunds, returns and faulty-goods rights, see our refund policy.

7. Affiliate links

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to things we've actually used. Affiliate links are disclosed on the pages they appear on.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness or suitability of the content for any purpose. We share our travel experience honestly, but every trip is yours to plan and your kit is yours to check. We're not responsible for outcomes from acting on something you read or watch here.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or the statutory rights of consumers.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with any goods bought through the site is capped at the amount you paid for those goods. We're not liable for indirect, consequential or purely economic loss arising from your use of the site.

We may update these terms occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except that consumers resident elsewhere in the UK may bring proceedings in their local courts as permitted by law.
